Welcome to Networking Women Swindon. We meet at The Madison Hotel, Swindon on the third Thursday of every month. This is networking with a twist though … because it’s actually NetWalking! That’s right, every alternate month we meet at The Madison Hotel, eat a hearty breakfast and then go on a lovely walk and network while we NetWalk! Sometimes we can find it hard to make the time to get outside and have a refreshing walk and take time for ourselves. In true Networking Women style, this way we can multi task and do both.
When?
The third Thursday of each month between 9.30am and 11.30am

Why are we different?
- No membership fees – you pay £20 upon arrival or you can request details to become a ‘Friend of Networking Women’.
- We start after the school run!
- Flexible attendees makes for vibrant and changing energy
- A friendly atmosphere encouraging even the newest of businesses to start networking
How does it work?
- 9.30 Informal networking and coffee
- 10.00 Brunch and introductions
- 10.30 Focused sessions with two businesses of your choice, allowing you time to get to know each other
- 11.00 Interactive speaker/presentation
- 11.30 Close
The Netwalking obviously has a different format!
On all NetWalking dates we will meet as normal for breakfast at The Madison Hotel. After breakfast and introductions, at around 10.25am attendees will drive to the walking location.
Walking shoes or boots are recommended as the terrain of the walks will vary from gravel to woodland or field paths.

Speaker: Anne Snelgrove from The Confidence Consultancy – Breathing & Speaking Techniques
After a career in education and then politics, Anne now runs her own business, The Confidence Consultancy, drawing on her initial drama training and her experience in the public eye. She trains individuals and groups in a wide range of techniques designed to boost confidence, including presentation skills, public speaking, media handling, preparation for career progression and handling difficult and confrontational situations.
Anne will speak about her experience in Parliament and what she learnt about working in what was (and still is) predominantly a man’s world. She’ll describe learning the hard way about making a speech from the green benches in the House of Commons, and why years of training and practice as a drama teacher both helped and hindered.
This will be a short and fun group practical session designed to give you a taste of breathing and speaking techniques to help you in your business, whatever it is. Don’t worry, you won’t be asked to make a speech or do anything in front of anyone else – group exercises only!
