Organising an event effectively is perhaps one of the most challenging and yet satisfying responsibilities faced by professional business communicators. Large or small, it’s all in the planning!
Helen has been in the events industry for just under 20 years. Helen has worked for big organisations as well as new startups in industries as different as shipping; oleochemicals; banking; finance; insurance; construction; aviation; IT; food ingredients; oil & gas. These cover mainly global markets, so some 2am starts for the Far East!
Most recently, Helen has helped to grow the information programme at Ecobuild, which this year attracted around 40,000 people – almost half of whom attend some of Helen’s conferences and seminars.
However – whether running a huge show at ExCeL or a small Roundtable workshop for an afternoon – the same considerations are critical to success. What’s key are the basics – “the devil’s in the detail !!“
