Speaker – Annie McIntyre – Introduction to Herbal Medicine

Anne will be talking to us about the benefits of common plants such as;
Anne McIntyre is a Fellow of the National Institute of Medical Herbalists (FNIMH), a Member of the Ayurvedic Practitioners’ Association (MAPA), and has been practicing herbal medicine for over 30 years. She gives consultations from her practice at Artemis House in Gloucestershire and clinics in London and Wales and precribes organic herbs in the form of tinctures, teas and powders from her dispensary. She specialises in treating women and children and teaches gynaecology, obstetrics and paediatrics and about Ayurvedic medicine at undergraduate and postgraduate level. She gives evening talks and runs regular courses in herbal medicine and Ayurveda from her home near Cheltenham and Oxford in England where she also has a delightful spiral herb garden which has featured on The BBC’s Gardener’s World TV programme. Her courses are as popular with qualified herbalists as they are with newcomers. She also gives guided tours of the Herb Garden on summer evenings.
